New Hire Spotlight - Mike Campanelli
We are pleased to announce that Michael Campanelli has joined our team as the Executive Director of Business Development. Mike comes to us highly recommended by friends and executives across multiple organizations we admire. We look to him to help us grow and continue to provide an environment where we all love to work and provide impeccable services to our clients. To welcome Mike and help us get to know him better, we asked him a few questions about his career and a few fun personal things too.
What led you to business development?
I wanted to come and work for a company and help it grow in its earliest stages. There is a great core group of people here doing things for the right reasons and I wanted to have a hand in ensuring that continued to grow.
What does a typical day look like for you?
There really is no typical day. Between finding new opportunities, meeting with customers, partners, or colleagues, and helping write proposals, etc. every day is different. Then there is finding time to answer the never ending pile of emails.
What are your hobbies?
First, let me say that I have two kids, so they keep me mostly busy. When I am not parenting, I enjoy a number of things to keep me technically sharp. I would summarize these interests to describe me as a bit of a hacker. I own too many Raspberry Pis, I’m fluent in Python, I have my own pen-testing network and my own woodshop, and I am learning lock-picking for fun.
What’s your favorite part of being in business development?
Business Development is a bit like a large jigsaw puzzle. It’s fun to try to find the right people, to make the right team, with the right opportunity to make things happen. The A-Team quote comes to mind, “I love it when a plan comes together”.
Where do you see the world of technology in 10 years?
Great question. I suppose this is where I’m supposed to say something about Artificial Intelligence. Where is the world of technology in 10 years? I honestly don’t know, but I can’t wait to see it.
